Last spring I started making lots of pouches or whatever you want to call them. I made so many, I got a little tired of the pattern I was using. After browsing around among my saved "textures" on Ravelry, I ended up making a smaller version of this pattern - Arboreus Mini Pouch. This texture is the same as that, but the base and bag is bigger. I just love how it worked up. It aboslutely needs a lining, but I'm going to save how to do that for another day and let's get to the pattern! Supplies:
Abbreviations (US terminology): CH - chain SC - single crochet SL - slip stitch ST - stitch DC - double crochet FPTRC - front post treble/triple crochet (moogly blog tutorial) FPDC - front post double crochet Pattern
Row 1 Ch 25, sc in each st across, ch 1, sc 25. Row 2-8 Ch 1, sc in each st (25) Row 9 Ch 1, sc along the short edge of the rectangle you just made - sc 8, put 3 in the corner. Sc 23, put 3 sc in the corner, sc 8, 3 sc in the corner, sc 23, put 3 in the corner, sl to join. You'll have 74 sc. Row 10-13 Ch 1, sc around, sl st to join (74) Row 14 Ch 2, dc around, sl to join (74) Row 15 Ch 1, sc around, sl to join (74) Row 16 Ch 2 (counts as dc), tr in the next dc below the sc row, leave 1 sc unworked *behind* the tr, dc in next, repeat around, sl to join Row 17 Ch 1, sc around, sl st to join Row 18-27 Repeat rows 16-17 Row 28 Ch 1, sc where you normally dc, dc where you'd put a tr, repeat around, sl to join Row 29-30 Ch 1, sc around, sl to join. Fasten off and weave in ends. Please let me know if anything doesn't add up. I will translate and post the SWE version of this pattern in due time. Meanwhile, follow me on instagram and pinterest for more crocheting goofiness. If you do follow me, pretty please tag me on instagram if you make it - I'd love to see your take on this! Happy crocheting, Jenn
